I love to write about sports. In fact, I actually did it and got paid for it for six years for the Everett Herald. Now I just write about my own sad fandom and how my teams tend to play those lovable losers way too often.
Who do I love? The San Diego Padres, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Mariners, Gonzaga basketball, Dallas Mavericks, the U.S. men’s soccer team, Brazil’s national team and anyone that is attempting to make history.

49 Things I Thought About Super Bowl 49 (and throughout the month of January)
Finding 49 things about Super Bowl 49 was kind of tough, so since I’ve sworn off Twitter, and have decided to stay away from posting “nonsense” on Facebook, I thought I would create a blog post full of 30-something things I thought about Super Bowl 49, and 15-something things popped into my head this last month. Have … Continue reading 49 Things I Thought About Super Bowl 49 (and throughout the month of January)

2014 NFL Preview: Who Might Rain on Another 12th Man Parade?
Expect more turmoil in the Johnson household when the Super Bowl rolls around. Like last year Lukas and I will be torn on who we want to win the Super Bowl. Unlike last year I won’t have to worry about my non-loving football dad yelling “Go Hawks!” and taunting me throughout the contest, and that’s not because I moved … Continue reading 2014 NFL Preview: Who Might Rain on Another 12th Man Parade?
Super Bowl XLVIII: Black and Blue Monday
I wasn’t afraid to share my pride, even though I was in “enemy” territory. When a silly bet came my way I didn’t totally back down from it, despite the terms not being agreed upon before they were shared with the social media world. (Really? Can you call out someone out on a bet before … Continue reading Super Bowl XLVIII: Black and Blue Monday
18 Reasons I Heart Peyton Manning
I can’t seem to break it through my buddy’s skull. No, I will not be rooting for “our” Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII. “But you live in Seattle!” It’s nothing against the Seahawks, Richard Sherman, Skittles or the 12th man. I’ve attended at least one regular season game in the last four years, and … Continue reading 18 Reasons I Heart Peyton Manning
Colts Win Was Filled With Superlatives!
Are you kidding me?! Unbelievable! Incredible! Amazing! Impossible! Miraculous! It always bothers me when media, or just people in general, use those superlatives to describe a player, or event.
